Bateman Residence

Honeymoon Cove is the location where Les Anderson caught a 97 pound world record King Salmon on the famous Kenai River. This is the site of 5 private acres that Mike and Judy Bateman bought for their river residence. K+A was selected to design the 7,503 square foot home. The design takes full advantage of river and surrounding forest views with abundant natural lighting. The great room includes roof support rock columns that extend from outside to the interior space. Custom crafted wood entertainment center and cabinets also add to the richness of the interior. Well lit exhibit niches, along with a gallery in the main vestibule, display some of their extensive antique and art collection. With a 4 car garage, fishing gear room, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, study, home gym, and three fireplaces this residence was designed for entertaining. The kitchen boasts commercial appliances and expansive preparation area that flows through a formal dining area into the heart of the homes entertainment space. An extensive patio and manicured grounds open to the owner’s river dock and the adjoining forested grounds.
